Since lockdown began, the Tranmere Rovers Trust and Tranmere Rovers in the Community have packed and delivered over 1000 emergency food parcels for residents in the local area. Incredibly, we have received more than £12,000 through generous donations and fundraising efforts, as well as food donations from local businesses and individuals. There is understandably a lot of frustration and anger following the EFL debacle and our initial statement reflects a shared disbelief in the double standards and lack of integrity shown by the them as an organisation. After consecutive promotions we have now been expelled from League One by 0.04 points and with 10 games left to play. The EFL shirked the responsibility of finding a solution befitting of sporting integrity and instead our relegation rivals, who still had to play us, voted us down for them. Incredibly a League Two play-off competition will now take place to replace us. Our Tranmere Rovers Trust EGM 2020 will take place on the 20th June at 3.00pm GMT, for all Trust members. Due to the current Covid19 Pandemic, this EGM will take place via Zoom.
