Community Activities

Football supporters' groups play a vital role in driving positive social impact within their communities and the Tranmere Rovers Supporters’ Trust is no different. Beyond our passion for the game, we believe that groups like ours often become powerful forces for social change, community engagement and empowerment.

Our work so far

The Tranmere Rovers Trust continues to be a cornerstone in solidifying Tranmere Rovers’ reputation as a truly community-focused football club. With a deep-rooted commitment to social impact, the Trust has delivered an extensive range of initiatives aimed at supporting and uplifting the local community, including:

  • Food Hampers and Parcels: Providing essential food supplies to fans and local residents facing hardship, ensuring no one in the community goes without basic necessities.

  • Boot and Trainer Appeal: Supporting children and young people in the area who may not have access to suitable sports footwear, ensuring they can participate fully in sports and physical activities.

  • Murals and Artwork: Commissioning visually impactful artwork that celebrates the strong and historic bond between the club and the local community, enhancing public spaces with positive imagery.

  • Community Tickets: Distributing over 650 community season tickets to children and families who might otherwise be unable to experience live football at Prenton Park, fostering inclusivity and access to the game.

  • Accessibility Improvements: Helping fundraise to replace a lift at the Tranmere Rovers stadium, ensuring disabled and less-abled fans can access the main stand to fully enjoy matchdays.

  • Improvements Inside and Outside Ground: Such as raising funds to repair the roof of the recreational centre at Prenton Park, safeguarding a vital community hub used by thousands for sports, education, and social events, as well as a £9,000 toilet refurbishment.

The Trust’s impact has been extended even further through previous close collaboration with the club and key community groups, including Tranmere Rovers in the Community (TRIC). Together, we have delivered transformative programmes such as the annual “Super White Christmas” appeal, which provides gifts, meals, and festive support to local families in need.

Our work moving forward

Moving to a larger fan park will mark a significant step forward, empowering the Trust to expand its community efforts even further. With state-of-the-art facilities and greater capacity, the Trust will be able to enhance existing programmes and introduce new initiatives, continuing to serve as a beacon of positive change and inclusivity in the Tranmere community.

The new Fan Park will be accessible to various community groups beyond Tranmere, addressing a significant gap in the availability of large community venues in the local area. This expanded accessibility will foster greater community engagement and support a wide range of activities and events.
