The Trust welcomes the recent investment into Tranmere Rovers, which will protect and strengthen the financial position of the club and help to return Tranmere to the upper echelons of the EFL; especially in light of the well-publicised financial difficulties encountered by other clubs.
Since their arrival at Prenton Park, all Tranmere fans have taken great comfort and confidence from the ownership of Mark and Nicola Palios, their custodianship of the club as well their prudence and attention to detail. Most importantly, we cherish their clearly stated goals of protecting it for our fans, preserving the memory and legacy of fans and those associated with the club in the past, as well as the growing fan base of the Super White Army. They have frequently highlighted the importance of ensuring that a significant element of ownership remains local and we look to help ensuring that this remains the case.
Notwithstanding this investment rewards the efforts of Mark and Nicola in promoting the club across the country and indeed the globe; recognising the changing financial nature of owning a football club and encouraging a growing number of football supporters across the world to visit Prenton Park as the club evolves into an international brand.
As a trust, we look forward to maintaining the success of recent years, reflecting the voices of our members and continuing our positive work with Mark & Nicola in moving the club forwards.
