Supporting our Community — September 2026

From helping young people access the kit they need to supporting local foodbanks, Trust members and supporters have made a real difference through our recent community initiatives.

⚽️Helping young players get started

Our boot and trainer scheme received a fantastic response, with more than 60 pairs of good-quality footwear donated by supporters.

The boots and trainers have now been delivered to local schools, alongside brand-new football boots, shin guards and socks. The aim is to ensure that no child or young person misses out on playing their favourite sport because they do not have the right kit.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped give the footwear a new home.

🥫Supporting local food banks

Our matchday food collections have gone from strength to strength, giving supporters a convenient way to help people across our community.

For example at the Oldham match alone, an incredible 81.8kg of food was donated. The collection has since been delivered to Wirral Foodbank, where it will support local people who may need some extra help.

Thank you to everyone who donated footwear, brought food to the match or has helped with the collections. Your support continues to make this work possible.
